Nevaton Forte combines herbs traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to relieve nervous unrest and mild anxiety to relieve sleeplessness and reduce disturbed or restless sleep.

Indications

  • St. John's Wort and Skullcap are traditionally used in Western herbal medicine:
    • to relieve nervous unrest and mild anxiety
    • Skullcap is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as a nerve tonic, calmative, and nervine
    • to relieve sleeplessness and reduce disturbed or restless sleep
    • Saffron and St. John's Wort help support healthy mood balance

Dose:

  • Adults: 1 tablet 3 - 4 times daily

Excipients

Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica, Croscarmellose Sodium, Dextrin, Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Maltodextrin, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Starch Glycollat.

Warnings:

  • Caution in pregnancy and lactation
  • May cause hyperaesthesia in some sensitive individuals, especially when combined with high exposure to sunlight
  • St John's Wort is not advisable in cases of known photosensitivity and in those taking photosensitising drugs. Patients taking high doses should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and UV radiation
  • As Schisandra may accelerate clearance of the drugs from the body, caution is advised in prescribing herbs for patients taking drugs with a narrow therapeutic window, including warfarin and digoxin
  • St John's Wort affects the way some prescription medicines work
  • Concurrent administration of high doses of St John's Wort is contraindicated with the following drugs: warfarin, digoxin, immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin, indinavir (HIV protease inhibitor), nevirapine (HIV non-nucleoside transcriptase inhibitor); docetaxel by injection, phenprocoumon, nifedipine, methadone, finasteride, clozapine, cancer chemotherapeutic drugs such as irinotecan and calcium channel antagonists such as verapamil
  • Caution is advised in patients taking other drug medications, including combined oral contraceptives
  • Consume at least 2 hours away from ingestion of mineral supplements
  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia
  • If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice
